Description:

1. Feed air compression, pre-cooling and purification systems

Feed air from atmosphere is removed dust and mechanical impurity through air filter then enters into Air Compressor. Compressed air is sent into Air Pre-cooling System to be cooled.

Cooled air enters into Molecular Sieve Purification System for adsorption where moistures, carbon dioxide, acetylene and other hydrocarbons impurities are adsorbed. There are two alternative working adsorbers. When one adsorber works, the other is in regeneration.

2. Air rectification

Purified air from Molecular Sieve Purification System is sent into Main Heat-exchanger in where the purified air is cooled down by reflux cryogenic flow to saturation, and then flows into rectification column.

The liquid air we got in the bottom of column is sent to condenser-vaporizer on the top of column as condensate liquid after throttling. The oxygen enriched liquid air in the condenser -vaporizer is sent to main heat exchanger and rewarmed and then goes into turbo expander for expansion. The oxygen enriched air returns back to the cold end of heat exchanger after expansion, where oxygen enriched air is rewarmed to normal atmospheric temperature and then goes out of cold box. Part will be used as regeneration gas and other will be vent.

The product nitrogen drawn from the top of column flows to heat exchanger for rewarming and then send out of cold box to nitrogen consumer.
